We believe luxury should be attainable and jewelry should be handmade with care for everyday wear. As designers and creators, we consider what modern life looks like and how we can adorn it with a special touch. The connection you feel to your jewelry should be a meaningful one. It speaks to who you are and what you love. We launched our brand on this philosophy with our Constellation Collection. Whether you’re a down to earth Virgo or a fiery Leo, the stars tell your story and represent who you are at your core. Our engravables are here to tell your more personal story and honor life’s milestones; along with our pendant collection to help promote the feelings of protection, balance, guidance x strength. Inspired by modern lines, art x the stars in the night sky.

THE STORY

Our founder, Lisa Garrison, opened her first clothing boutique in Arkansas in 2005. After 10 years in the retail industry, she saw an opportunity to fill the void that she experienced in the jewelry world - a fine jewelry feel with a softer price. As a west coast store location was being opened in San Diego, California in 2014, she found her inspiration to create the THATCH brand . She acquired a sunny design studio in the heart of Liberty Station: a thriving art, food x shopping destination in Southern California. Keeping all aspects of the business in-house, she assembled the small but mighty all female team that has since grown into a global brand of quality luxe jewelry complete with sustainable x reusable packaging.

LISA GARRISON :
Founder and Designer

SAGITTARIUS - The Philosopher

Our style icon, Lisa, has impeccable taste and a sophisticated eye. The brand itself was modeled from Lisa’s personal style - elevated, dainty x minimal with an edge. As our founder she set the tone, and has assembled a team of women who could empower one another, be hands on and express their creativity. Lisa is a passionate animal lover and co-founder of Big Dog Rescue Project, a dog rescue based in Dallas, Seattle and New Jersey, focused on saving large breeds from high kill shelters throughout Texas. She is the mother to many of her own rescue dogs and horses in her hometown of Dallas, Texas.

LAURA LAING :
Designer and Production Director

TAURUS - The Creative

Trained in jewelry design and metalsmithing, Laura takes the design concepts and brings it to life in the final collections. From initial sketch to the end product, she has her meticulous eye on each step of the process. Her passion for art, design, and craftsmanship stems from her artistic father who nourished her creativity and encouraged her love to create things by hand. She believes jewelry is wearable art and a self expression - unique to every individual. With her rescue pups, Cassie x Luke, by her side, she spends each day fully submerged in her craft.

SCORPIO - The Intuitive

Amy is our brand and industry expert. She loves to form strong connections and curate the best assortments for our retailers. She truly knows the ins and outs the THATCH customer as she herself was one of our first customers. After a decade of hustling the showroom scene in NYC, Amy and her husband moved to California to enjoy a more balanced, sunny life. When she discovered THATCH as an emerging local company, she saw an opportunity to help the brand expand. Her drive and silly spirit keep us moving onward and upward.

KRISTY SPICUZZA :

AQUARIUS - The Problem Solver

With a keen eye for detail, Kristy makes sure our studio runs smoothly and our customers are always satisfied. As our in-house lifestyle photographer, she creates the amazing imagery that embodies the THATCH brand. She studied photography and spent many years in the San Francisco service industry before moving to San Diego with her husband in search of something new. Her skills found the perfect home at THATCH - she is our highly organized perfectionist.

SAVANNA HUNTER-REEVES :

TAURUS - The Equilibrium

With a background in marketing and a passion for storytelling, Savanna is our resident wordsmith. She drives engagement daily, entertaining and informing our customers from email to social media and beyond. Wielding strong analytical skills and a knack for developing effective campaigns, Savanna brings a balanced, creative-meets-strategic approach to our marketing efforts.

Bringing a fresh perspective and big vision, Natalie excels in driving brand growth. Always resourceful and optimistic, on any given day you can find her creating compelling social media content, managing influencer relationships and press opportunities, and leading our social media ad strategy. A valuable addition to our marketing team, Natalie approaches each project with positivity and dedication.
